Ester Salinas and Congressman Llyod Doggett. I saw the congressman at a United Farm Workers (UFW)/ La Union del Pueblo Entero (LUPE) function the day before. Ester says that he's one of the few politicians to fight on their behalf. Mr. Doggett is on the Senate Ways and Means Committee and is currently lobbying to create more money to remittance efforts.
This is an incredible effort, but what about their health care? What about the fact that people were receiving the monetary equivalent of table scraps for their first round of injury settlements? Contaminated bodies. What can Doggett do for their contaminated bodies?
